Mid Term (2-4 years)

- Development of value card/print publication "Utilizing strong forest markets..." and tie to website for action ideas - Zupko working with FLA on wood pellet industry to continue siting in SE US - Zupko following up with opty in SGA for collaborative forums. [previously, Zupko working on economic summit with US Endowment to promote wood products industry in the SE (2013 discussions, states not interested in multi-state summit / competition)] - Opty for utilization of SWRAP and forestproductslocator.com as layers in multi-landowner strategy proposals - Opportunity to further engage SGSF Forest Management Chiefs and FS CF Director/ SPF R8 in joint development of strategies - SGSF SUM TF has an aggressive international marketing campaign ongoing to promote Southern wood. There is an opportunity to re-evaluate this program and include wildland fire as an issue of concern. - Create a market access program for landowners (e.g. one that does not require third party certification or mandatory forest management plans, etc. which would work against landowner participation) if the forest management activity is tied directly to improving forest health or fuels reduction.
