1. Convene fire adapted communities workgroup to review FEMA programs and make recommendation to FEMA leadership related to pre-event wildfire mitigation needs and administrative processes.

April 14 - FEMA engaged with national barriers WG to address these concerns and make recommendations to modify future grant criteria. Katie is lead on PDM grant work group to assess current program and make recommendations for future grants on criteria and allocations in alignment with CS objectives. Aug 2014 update - the CSF #12 task group has identified several action items to help improve the wildfire mitigation grants. Over the next year FEMA staff will incorporate into processes. Clear theme is communication and clarification among all programs, all stakeholders. Will be hosting panel presentation at WUI conf in 2015 and submitted proposal for presentation at B&B in Nov 2015.
